A brief introduction
Having studied Social Sciences and Liberal Arts student at IBA Karachi, I have a strong academic background and a genuine passion for teaching and working with students. I am a hardworking, approachable and patient person who enjoys helping students build both their academic skills and their confidence. Alongside my university studies, I have been actively involved in tutoring, mentoring and student-focused roles, which have strengthened my communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. I particularly enjoy creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel able to ask questions, make mistakes and gradually become more independent learners.
Tutoring Experience
I have experience teaching and supporting students across different age groups and academic levels, particularly in English Literature and Language. My tutoring experience has included working with students all over the world preparing for IGCSE/GCSE , Edexcel , AQA and IB English. I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant, where I supported students with academic resources, queries, attendance and class-related communication. These experiences have taught me how to work with students with different abilities, learning needs and levels of confidence, while keeping lessons structured, engaging and focused on measurable improvement.
Teaching Method
My teaching approach is student-centred, supportive and adaptable. I first try to understand how a student learns best, where they are currently struggling and what they want to achieve, and then tailor my lessons accordingly. I believe in explaining concepts clearly and step-by-step rather than simply giving students answers, so that they develop the confidence to tackle questions independently. For English and literature, I place particular emphasis on close reading, vocabulary, analysis, structure and exam technique, while also encouraging students to express their own ideas. I use discussion, guided practice, examples and regular feedback to keep lessons interactive, and I adjust the pace whenever a student needs more time or a greater challenge.
